Repaircafé – Alte Kleidung neu gedacht

Inspiriert von der Ausstellung Antimatter Factory von Mika Rottenberg hauchen wir alter Kleidung neues Leben ein!

Rottenberg's work encourages us to take a closer look at the production of goods and to question the hyper-capitalist systems involved. Her installations, kinetic sculptures and video works take a humorous look at the grotesque mechanisms of global supply chains and industrial production. The artist emphasises the urgency of conserving resources, consuming less and living more sustainably.

After a tour of the exhibition, we will walk together to the Nachbarschaftszentrum 3 - Wiener Hilfswerk to repair torn clothes. Whether it's darning a hole or embellishing an embroidery, the volunteers will show you how it's done!
